Here's a simplified illustration of how it works.

• Inventory Management
  SeaportX gives you the ability to manage inventory in a single or multiple locations all in real-time. Controlling inventory can be done in FIFO-FILO management style with options of bar code reading and item location management (bin or bay locator). The Inventory Manger also tracks your orders, subtracting purchases from your inventory and allows you to run reports for executive planning.

• Purchasing
  SeaportX purchasing is done in real-time throughout the world and is completed via on-line ordering. Orders enter the system via your own representatives or customers (ordering directly from your online catalog), SeaportX Retailers or you can batch upload phone and fax orders directly from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. All orders are trackable via tracking number or pro-numbers and managed in real-time including integration with inventory management.

• Load Management
  SeaportX uses a complex cube management process to manage containers, rail cars, and trailers. The Load Manager users bar graphs to show how full containers are and when they are estimated to close (in real-time). The Load Manager (by default) cubes containers up to 90% full, allowing for odd-shaped packages and other nuances. Manufacturers can adjust this percentage to meet their needs. The system can consolidate orders from multiple purchasers and organize them both by cube and consignee. The system will also allow for a regional allocation of goods to reduce the amount of freight cost and time. The Load Manager provides a cost estimator/calculator for shipping cost efficiency.

• Rep & Agent Management
  All rep's can have access to their customers historical and financial reports in real-time anywhere in the world to assist their customers. Agents as well as manufacturers can use the forecasting tools and forcast by item, date, etc. to help them increase sales and profitability. All rep's have real-time ordering capibility. Exceptions or damages are also easily tracked and managed from end-to-end. Agents can have the ability to up date the manufacturers catalog while the manufacturer maintains full control of all agent access.

• Reporting
  If for no other reason, you need SeaportX for its robust reporting capibilities. Run reports on all aspects of your comapny from sales history to sales forecasting. All reports can be restricted (oraganized) by region, product, date, customer/retailer, agent, price point and more. You can also customize reports to fulfill any accounting need. All reports are downloadable in CSV format for intergration with most accounting software packages.

• Manifest Management
  SeaportX auto generates the shipping manifest for every shipping container managed in the system. All End-to-end labeling is created so each shared item within the shipping container is accounted for, documented and ready for the break-bulk hub and LTL delivery providing true drop-shipping directly from the manufacture. The Container seal can be tracked within the system which will allow the customer to verify that the proper container has arrived as welll as track the shipment's progress. The Manafest Manager will also produce an itemized packing list thus giving accurate quantities, and value to the shipping container for both the customer and customs authorities. The bill of lading will automatically be generated uponthe shipping container being filled and all customs documentation is produced within the SeaportX system. Lastly, all hazardous materials management (MSDS) will be produced through the system.

• Financial Tools
  SeaportX comes with a suite of default financial reports sufficient for most common accounting needs. In addition, you can create customized reports and save the queries for future or repetitive use. The Financial Tools also monitors and tracks currency profit and loss in real-time allowing you to make moment-to-moment pricing decisions as the world currencies fluxtuate. You can also set default adjustments so that your prices automatically adjust to fluxtuations in currancies.

• Catalog Manager
  Enter all your products in to your own online catalog and make it public, privite, or even restrict access to a few users. In addition to managing your products, the online catalog will also present your products prefessionally to your agents, retailers, or customers. The Catalog is all managed in real-time so that when you change the price of a product, the effect is immediate to your global audience. Price points can be set by region, country and even by state or provence. The Catalog Manager also provides you with an image manager that will help you organize your photo ibrary and make them accessible to any you allow access.

• Security
  Last but certainly not least, SeaportX is very aware of the importance of security. Beyond state-of-the-art security hardware and software, SeaportX hosts all of their servers in a Class 5 facility with 24/7/365 monitoring. When you use SeaportX, you can also rest assured that you own your own data and it is never shared with third parties. All transactions and transfer of sensitive data is encrypted with full 1024 bit encryption.
