| SeaportX is the product of over twenty years of industry experience and the combined efforts of three shipping, retail and marketing veterans. Our vision was to create a common platform between manufacturers and retailers where all transaction and data interchange was easily exchanged. We also envisioned a system where even the smallest retailer could enjoy the reduced costs of purchasing directly from the manufacturers. Once we created the basic infrastructure, it quickly became obvious how powerful this platform could be for agents, reps, designers and all variations of those involved in the retail, wholesale, and the manufacturing industries.
After more than two years of direct planning, negotiating and programing, we launched the first of 6 major system releases. On September 1, 2008, we launched the beta version of the retailer portion of the system complete with full back end and banking interface. Several retailers are already conducting business with the beta version and with great success. Our manufacture database currently consists of over 15,000 SKUs while adding over 2000 SKUs a month. We are currently on track to meet our other 5 launches, which can be seen on our development calendar. SeaportX is a strongly managed and privately-funded project. |
